After selling shades from her home and station wagon for several years,
Rita Quinn opened The Lamp Shade in Bexley on May 29th, 1973. She built a business
specializing in friendly, personal service in a warm, homelike setting.
After Rita's death in 1988, the business was run by Connie Cooney and held in a family trust until purchased by Marianne Lannan in 1995. |

Marianne has maintained the quaint atmosphere and personalized service that has attracted customers for years.
She moved the store to the Short North area in September 2006 for a fresh look and a central location.
We encourage you to bring in your lamps to try many different types of shades. Our knowledgeable sales staff will gladly help you find the right shade. If it's not in stock, we can custom order shades and lamps for you. |
